Tufts combines the best of a liberal arts college atmosphere with the state-of-the-art technological resources of a research institution. Our engineering programs challenge conventional ideas in the classroom and in the lab, rethinking what it means to be an engineer in a global world. Our laboratory facilities, world-renowned faculty members, and highly collaborative environment result in rigorous and cutting-edge programs.

We set students up for success. Working closely with both faculty members and the Career Center, Tufts students acquire internships and career opportunities in various sectors and locations. A tech hub, Boston is a progressive city known across the globe for its academic and professional opportunity. About 80% of Tufts engineering majors complete at least one internship, and 60% conduct research in their four years here.
