Research grant awarded

A team led by Farakh Zaman, Mechanical Engineering PhD student, has been awarded a grant to investigate human factors issues related to augmented reality systems in subterranean spaces.

Farakh Zaman, Major, USAF and a third year PhD Candidate in Mechanical Engineering was awarded a $250K grant for his research from the Tufts Center for Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences and the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center.  Farakh is currently working with Professor of the Practice James Intriligator and Associate Professor Jason Rife. He is investigating human factors issues related to using augmented reality systems in subterranean spaces.  If you would like to learn more about the Dynamic Information Needs Analysis (DINA) project, get paid to participate in the research, or work on the research team, feel free to reach out to Farakh directly (Farakh.Zaman@tufts.edu) or email the team at DINA@tufts.edu.
